Ball Joint Replacement on Opel Movano A (Renault Master I)
•
In this video, we perform a replacement of the outer ball joint on an Opel Movano A, which is based on the first-generation Renault Master, produced from 1999 to 2003.
•
The front suspension is a multi-link system, with two arms — upper and lower. The upper control arm is a swingarm-style design with two ball joints at each end. We’ll be replacing the outer ball joint, the one located by the wheel.
•
Ball joints are pressed into the arm. You can replace them using a press after removing the control arm, but in this video I’ll show how to do the job on the vehicle using a U-shaped ball joint press tool, without disassembling the arm.
•
I’ll also talk about suspension inspection and maintenance: worn ball joints can lead to play, steering issues, and dangerous failures. Regular checks are essential for safe driving.
