In this part of the series we'll take a look at the 3rd generation transmission options. We'll discuss the main differences from this transmission to previous Tacoma transmissions. Things like the Driving response and acceleration management system, The coast control and the AI control. This transmission is often criticized for the way it shifts. Hearing folks concerns about this transmission brings back memories of when the U760 and U660 transmission came out as that has similar technology to the tacoma's 6 speed. It is very important to understand the difference between an annoying normal characteristic of a transmission and an actual problem with it.
