DIY How To Replace 2008 Honda CR-V Catalytic Converter

The catalytic Converter went out at about 160k miles on my daughter’s 2008 CR-V registered in California. This video shows my experience with removing and reinstalling it. I believe the 2007 – 2009 CR-Vs have the same converter. It’s not a difficult job if your bolts/nuts are not completely rusted or corroded. Socket set with long extension 3. long 10mm socket may be needed for heat shield removal (see video) 4. Penetrating oil 5. Anti-seize lubricant 6. Impact wrench is handy if you have one 7.
