Socket set, Wrenches, Serpentine belt tool, Jack and jack standsComplete guide on removing & replacement of the serpentine belts, tensioners, & idler pulleys on an eTorque 3.6 Pentastar that may squealing or noisy or as preventive maintenance to avoid failure miles from home. These belts typically need replacement anywhere between 75,000 & 100,000 miles but if you off-road, the pulleys’ bearings can get water or dirt in them that can cause earlier bearing failure.

Quick summary:
2020 = Sahara-only intro
2021–2023 = expanded across all trims (automatic only)
2024+ = no eTorque on 3.6L
This video is specific to the Wrangler 3.6 eTorque (my Rubicon is a '21) though there may be similarities with the Ram and other possible 3.6 eTorque vehicles I may be unaware of.
Although my belts looked good and I only had a pulley squeal once at just over 100K miles on our Wrangler, I opted to move forward with replacing them for peace of mind. If a pulley or belt goes out, it's probably going to be inconvenient and much more so if you're far away from town. It can also leave you with damage under the hood from a flying belt or worse, like overheating your engine and lack of steering since the accessory belt turns the water pump & power steering pump. I didn't want to chance it.
I couldn't find another video on this job so I decided to share how to do this yourself, saving almost $500 in labor according to my local dealer in the S. Indiana, N. Kentucky area at the time of recording this video in Nov 2024.
If you have any question or see that I missed something, please feel free to ask or point out your findings.
The 3.6 eTorque belt routing diagram for the main belt is in the video. The accessory belt is pretty easy. Grooves in pulley to grooves in belt. Smooth pulleys contact smooth side of belt. Goes around AC compressor pulley, water pump pulley, and the tensioner pulley I show in the video.
