The 2013 - 2018 Nissan Altima equipped with a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) actually has two transmission filters: a primary paper cartridge filter and an internal metal pan strainer/filter.The paper cartridge filter is located on the driver's side of the transmission, tucked behind the front left wheel well liner and sitting inside a round housing behind the CVT oil warmer.
