Before replacing rear brake pads or rotors on a 2019–2025 GMC Sierra 1500 or Chevy Silverado 1500, you MUST put the truck into Brake Maintenance Mode if it has an electronic parking brake. Skipping this step can cause warning lights, locked calipers, or expensive parking brake motor damage.
