I noticed dried coolant on the inside of my hood when it was opened. The dried coolant was white / pink and had been flung from the water pump pulley. I took a close look at my water pump with a small mirror and was able to see pink coolant coming from the weep hole on the pump. This is a very common repair for a Toyota Corolla. I have done these many times over the years, I almost think Toyota purposely uses these pumps knowing they will leak eventually, the good news is.. for a water pump it's not too hard, many other brands make the water pump difficult to replace, so I don't mind replacing mine.
