[ASMR] How to revive flat dead battery on brand new MacBook Air M2? Replace battery or…?

This brand-new old-stock 2022 MacBook Air M2 (A2681) was purchased by our follower. Right after unboxing, it failed to power on normally — it only booted when plugged in, showing 1% battery and a "service recommended" warning despite only 2 charge cycles, and shut down immediately once disconnected from the charger. The real cause was deep discharge "battery starvation" from long-term storage. The battery voltage dropped below the factory threshold, and the battery management system incorrectly flagged it as defective, even though the hardware was fully intact. We revived the battery without any replacement: unlocking the BMS chip, clearing error warnings, and trickle-charging the cells step by step. After repair, the battery returns to 100% maximum capacity with full normal charging and discharging performance.
