Step-by-step instructions on how to enter and run through the service test mode on an GE dishwashers, include GE Cafe and GE Monogram. In this video, I show you how to enter fault mode and service mode so you can read stored error codes and manually run diagnostic tests. These built in test modes allow you to check major components like the drain pump, water valve, circulation pump, heating element, and detergent dispenser to help pinpoint what is wrong with your dishwasher. Entering fault mode lets you see stored error codes and confirm whether the door latch is working properly. Entering service mode allows you to manually activate individual components to verify operation and diagnose problems. Be sure to check the tech sheet for your specific model, as button combinations and available tests may vary depending on features.
