wrenches, oil disposal container, ragsHello there Wrenching Mafia Gang ! Today we're going to dive into the world of auto maintenance, as we take on the task of changing oil in a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500.
First things first, let's gather our materials. You'll need a set of wrenches, your fresh oil and filter, an oil disposal container, and some quality rags for any potential spills.
Start by raising the hood of your Chevy and locating the oil drain plug at the bottom of the engine. Be sure to place a pan underneath it to catch any spills. Loosen and remove the plug, allowing all that old oil to drain out. Once it's emptied, replace the plug and tighten it back up.
Now comes the fun part - filter removal! Unscrew it counter-clockwise, taking care not to damage the seal in the process. Gently pull it off and dispose of it safely.
With your new filter in hand, fill your funnel with fresh oil and insert it into your engine block. Securely tighten it in place using a wrench or socket wrench.
To finish off this easy oil change, filled engine to recommended manufacture specifications.
And there you have it! Your Chevy Silverado 1500 is now sporting fresh new oil, ready for many more miles of adventures down the road!
