This video shows you how to replace the ignition coils and spark plugs on your 2019-2025 Toyota RAV4. If your engine is misfiring, idling roughly, or your fuel economy has suddenly dropped, it’s likely time for a spark plug service. This 2.5L Dynamic Force engine is very DIY-friendly, and we’ll show you how to swap all four plugs and coils in about 30 minutes using basic hand tools. This maintenance was performed on a 2021 Toyota RAV4 and the process is the same for: 2019 Toyota RAV4 (Gas, Hybrid, & Prime) 2020 Toyota RAV4 (Gas, Hybrid, & Prime) 2021 Toyota RAV4 (Gas, Hybrid, & Prime) 2022 Toyota RAV4 (Gas, Hybrid, & Prime) 2023 Toyota RAV4 (Gas, Hybrid, & Prime) 2024 Toyota RAV4 (Gas, Hybrid, & Prime) 2025 Toyota RAV4 (Gas, Hybrid, & Prime) Parts & Specifications: Spark Plugs: Toyota Part # 90919-01289 (Denso FC16HR-Q8) Ignition Coils: Toyota Part # 90919-A2010 Spark Plug Gap: 0.032 inch (0.8 mm) Spark Plug Torque: 15 lb-ft (20 Nm) Ignition Coil Bolt Torque: 5.5 lb-ft (7.5 Nm) Service Interval: Toyota recommends replacement every 120,000 miles (192,000 km) for these Iridium Long-Life plugs, but many owners choose to service them at 60,000–100,000 miles for optimal performance.
