Alternator failed on the Corvette

The alternator failed on the 1980 C3 Corvette. For a couple of weeks I was experiencing a malfunctioning electric choke, and having a high idle. Then my battery was dead. After getting the battery and alternator checked, it turned out that the voltage regulator was bad. I had done some research, and saw that the choke indicator light will come on when the alternator is not providing the proper current to the electric choke. After replacing the alternator, my choke problem rectified itself. I'm always happy when one fix solves two problems. Swapping out the alternator wasn't too difficult, it was more a matter of making sure that I made the time to do it.
