You will either replace the brake disc or resurface it, depending on the condition of your car's brake disc. First, the disc should be inspected for warping or cracks — if any are found, the disc must be replaced. If the disc only shows shallow grooves, light scratches, emits grinding noises, causes the car to vibrate when braking, or has a shiny glazed surface, it may be suitable for resurfacing. However, brake discs cannot be resurfaced indefinitely.
