mouse, USB cableI was trying to figure out a software method to disabling the Peloton Bike+ tablet's touchscreen as I didn't feel like paying $650 for the replacement from Peloton or even $300 on eBay when my screen went haywire (it had both touch deadzones as well as ghost touches, so the device was completely useless when powered on), but the software method seemed like more trouble than it was worth. It also may not have even worked. Instead, you can permanently disable the Peloton tablet's touchscreen with a pretty quick and easy hardware method that doesn't require much technical skill or knowledge. Then, just plug-in a USB-C mouse (or use a USB-A to USB-C adapter) and boom, your Peloton is functional again... albeit with a new, strange input method. But nothing is more priceless than a free "repair"!
This was performed on a Bike+ with the first generation tablet for that bike which is the model PLTN-TTR01.
