Toyota RAV4 (2019-2025): How To Replace Front Brake Pads And Rotors In The Gen 5 Toyota RAV4?

In this video, we will demonstrate how to service the front brakes on the 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 Toyota RAV4. We will show how to replace the front brake pads and rotors. We will lift the RAV4 using the hydraulic jack and put it on the jack stands. Using a 14mm socket and a 17mm wrench, we will remove the two bolts that hold the caliper in place. We will use the bungee cord to secure the caliper. Utilising the brake pad spreader we will push in the piston to allow the new brake pad to be installed. We will inspect the caliper pin boots. Using the 17mm socket, we will remove 2 bolts holding the caliper bracket. This will allow us to remove and replace the rotor. We will apply the brake lubricant to the back of the plates that go on top of the brake pads. This will prevent the squeaking noise. We will point out the brake components that need an inspection every time you work on the brakes. Ultimately, we will demonstrate how to reassemble all components, including the required torque values. OEM Brake Pads Part Number: 04465-0E060. OEM Disk Brake Rotor Part Number: 43512-06200. OEM Brake Pad Hardware: 04945-0E071. Front Caliper Bracket Bolts Torque (Steel Steering Knuckle): 79 lbf-ft or 107 Nm. Front Caliper Bracket Bolts Torque (Aluminum Steering Knuckle): 111 lbf-ft or 150 Nm. (Please use the VIN Number at the dealership to check the correct caliper bracket torque for your RAV4 before you start working on the front brakes). Front Caliper Bolts Torque: 25 lbf-ft.
