The Dell XPS lineup is notorious for overheating issues and thermal throttling so performing a thermal paste replacement may make a significant difference in terms of temperature and performance. When it comes to Dell's quality control some people find the stock thermal paste to be perfectly acceptable and temperatures within margin however for my personal laptop, I have experienced thermal throttling and performance loss over a long period of heavy usage.
Results of Thermal Paste Replacement:
Before: Around 75° C with peaks of 80°-83° C
After: Around 55° C with peaks of 57°-60° C

(Note: I double-checked the new thermal paste performance by running a longer benchmark and it still hovers around that same temperature which is absolutely insane. I really didn't believe it and thought it didn't add up, but I'll take it.
The benchmark scenarios were made to be as identical as possible. The computer stayed in the same marked spot with similar room temperatures, plugged into the same charger, AIDA64 launched on startup with no other applications open in the background, full brightness, and more.)
