We’re sharing some learned knowledge about Paint rollers for easy and quick textures; buy the thickest nap paint rollers sold. Here is a tip, folks, if you apply a slow-setting drywall compound such as 90-minute mud, you will have time to roll out the wall more uniformly as the drywall compound will still be moist. Another tip is not to let the roller get too saturated with the slow-setting drywall or sheetrock compound. This means you should clean the roller out with a water nozzle in an area outside that won’t make a mess. I rarely used a 90-minute drywall compound or even 60 minutes, as I prefer mud that sets fast. As a rule, I will use mostly 20-minute joint compounds as I mainly do patchwork and move fast. But, I can’t apply a twenty-minute mud and then roll it out to create a uniform texture as where I first started would be almost set to create any uniformity. Thus, a 90-minute joint compound will be better if not sure. Definitely use tapping mud. Thus, the age-old question is, can you texture a wall with a paint roller? Of course, you can. FYI, you can also spread paint over another colored painted background. All it takes is imagination, patience, and practice.
